Today’s market is flooded with so many different acne products that finding the right product can be a challenge. This is why I decided to write a short article specifically for those looking for acne treatment reviews.
When I first attempted to fight back against my acne, I decided to only use a light cleanser. Cleansers are only meant to clear out your pores, which is believed to be one of the main causes of acne. I found that after using a light cleanser every morning and before bed, that my acne condition was seeing a slight improvement.

I was just about ready to try anything, so I went to the supermarket and picked up some cotton balls and Isopropyl Alcohol.
I proceeded to apply alcohol to my acne at least once a day for around 2 weeks. I was thrilled! One day, while at work, one of my co-workers caught me applying alcohol to my acne. She freaked out and explained to me, that as a teenager she did what I was doing, and ended up with terrible acne scars (which were covered up by a layer of foundation). I immediately stopped applying alcohol to my acne; risking scars just wasn’t worth it.
A week and a half past before my acne returned. Co-workers and friends noticed that I was always down in the dumps. One friend became so concerned, she recommended me to her mom, someone who had the same problem as me and had already read the acne treatment reviews. I was surprised at what she recommended. Toothpaste! I thought she was a little crazy, but tried it anyways. I saw results on the first day! I put some toothpaste overnight and in the morning I felt my forehead, and there was minimal bumps! What are the best acne treatments? Are they some miracle cure? Are they a costly ointment or cream? In fact, they are none of those things. By using creams or ointments, a person only ends up treating the symptoms and not the disease.
You are only treating the surface problems and not understanding the root causes of why acne is being caused. I had acne for a long time, for over 5 years in fact. And a large part of why I was getting pimples wasn’t for lack of using medication like facial cleanser or the like. In fact, those things can be very important to use. Many kids in high school use them in fact; you can tell be seeing the slight redness in their cheeks which is caused by those types of cleansers.
In fact, my acne was so stubborn it even reached the point that I needed to get prescription medicine in the form of Accutane. And even then it didn’t kill it. Because you see, the doctors were looking at acne the wrong way.
They were looking at it like an illness, like a virus, like a bacteria that can be killed. When in fact, the simple truth is that acne is an ever-present physical problem that can only be defeated by eternal vigilance. In fact, what I discovered is that acne is all about diet.
In my case, there were several foods/drinks that would create and aggravate the creation of acne. Coffee was a big one. Sugary soda drinks were another one. And fast food was another. It seems simple enough. Junk in, junk out.
So basically what we’re faced with is a tough choice. Cut down on our unhealthy eating habits for the rest of our lives, or face a life of constantly blemishing skin.
What I ended up believing is that some people simply have very sensitive skin types. Certain foods can very easily influence these types of people. In my case, I had to drink lots of water and eat healthy food in order to destroy my acne, and even then it would still crop up in certain cases(although in very miniscule amounts).
So if I was able to recommend anything, it would be that you should first look at your diet in order to cure your acne. Water is an awesome thing for your body; it cleanses your entire system, starting with your kidneys. Well-functioning kidneys help the entire body. Get a good helping of bread and vegetables every day, and severely limit your intake of cheeseburgers, milkshakes, and donuts. And caffeine will have a huge effect too.
